My Hero

“Encourage your children to have heroes who are inspiring, courageous and worth looking up to”.

I’ve read that line in one of the articles in The Costco Connection. As I was comprehending it, it easily reminded me of someone’s really important in my life. Someone who I consider as my Hero, my mom.

She is my hero because she has given me life. She gave me an unconditional love, a kind of love that is hard to find to anyone else. She taught me how to be who I am today. She taught me how to be strong and how to keep myself grounded. She taught me how to be grateful for what I have. She taught me how to be selfless.

Our family had been through a lot of rough times, but she never showed us that we are in that situation nevertheless. She’s smiling even if she’s torn inside. She have given us, her children, a comfortable life. She made a lot of self-sacrifices just to make us happy. She’s a mother who will be there for you when you’re feeling down and helpless. I love her for that.

Now that I have my own family, I know that nothing has ever changed. I can always feel that her love and support for us is always there, especially to my daughter that she loves so much. I want my daughter to grow up and look up at her because if it’s not for my Mom I would be nothing and I would be no one.

Mom, you are my hero and I love you forever.
